I used to ride to Hampton Beach NH every July with a Harley buddy.
It was a 4 to 5 hour ride from Montreal and we would leave at dawn,
get there and drink Miller MGD horse piss by the motel pool.

Never got a buzz just made us tired.......

Happy to know there is real beer in the States these days.

There, fixed that for ya.  Yes, for last 34 years beer (ale, lager, whateva) available here is equal to any in world.  have done my level best to correct over supply problem  :002:

Good to see the leaves are still bright green up there. This bit of cold weather had me worrying I may not make it up there and try out my new Z on those twisties! Got to (arm being twisted) leave for Destin tomorrow, so it may be another month or so before I can get up there! Hopefully Winter will hold off until then.

Maryville ?

Surprised I haven't seen you at the gap - I have a place in Robbinsville. The Z900RS stays there, and I only get to visit occasionally.  :012:
I'll be back there in less than 2 weeks though.  :152:

Yep, I live in Maryville. Pretty sure I've seen you on the road, I have some other bikes I ride up there.
Saw a Cafe model up there yesterday.
Hopefully we'll meet one day.
Ride safe,
Dan

I think you were at the Gap store the Sunday morning I met the GP Breakfast Club when I had the Triumph there.

Stopped at the White Chuck Boat Launch.  https://www.google.com/maps/place/White+Chuck+Boat+Launch/@48.1858294,-121.5029148,12.87z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x549ad3b25586af43:0xff8f95ca1604df82!8m2!3d48.1740637!4d-121.4730671  Didn't get any worthwhile photos.  Oh well.

On a lil bridge over the White Chuck River, which is actually the North Fork of the Sauk River

Looking down to the confluence of the White Chuck River and the Sauk River

Z900RS, the pinnacle, the acme, the zenith of UJM bikes.  Rock On.

As I headed south into the river drainage from Darrington my mirrors fogged over.  That localized of a bioclime.  Also there was a lot of moisture on the roads, had been mostly dry all day (cept in the shadows approaching the mountains).

Stopped by one of my local go to scenic spots today (good public bathroom where I can take a touch nothing piss) in North Bend, WA.   I've posted this scene before, but not quite with this lighting effect..

Mt Si in the background

Only 95 mile ride today, slacking off.

Re: Scenic Picture Thread: Mt Rainier Paradise

Paradise by the dash board lights.

Turned 17,000 miles today, put baby away showing 17,137.  Got a great 243 miler.  (Gotta do chain maintenance more often!, Need to tell myself that regularly).  (btw - I have owned baby 15 months and 1 week).  Went to Mount Rainier National Park, Paradise visitor area.  Paradise at Rainier is as good as it gets.  Tied fer the best place one can hang out in the world.  The road from the park entrance to the Paradise parking lot is 17.6 (mayhaps 18 even  :002:) miles tied for the best 17.6 miles one can motorcycle.

When I started in the park I said to myself, "self, you're going to casually motor up the hill and not risk an engagement with the Federal gendarmes".  Well, I couldn't quite live up to that.  No traffic ahead of me much of the ride so I was second gear peg dragging these aye-mazing hairpins etc.  At one point, on the one longer straight-a-way, this attitude Acura saw me coming in his mirror and showed me his full power, I was closing on him (some might use the word recklessly, but no more than 90 in a 35) and I somehow sniffed the karma and heavily braked just before the federal pickup truck coming downhill came into view  :008: :018: :001:  He still gave me the hairy eyeball.

Anyway,
Here's too many of the same pictures, so sue me...
Another light and shadows exercise

The low autumn foliage is beautiful, lots of reds and oranges, the blueberries were outstanding

The Tatoosh Range across from Mt Rainier

This baby looks fast standing still

Shaft, he's a bad muther*ukka

Glaciers, we got yer stinkin glaciers

That is what we call a hanging left hand sweeper (knee down optional)

I don't usually carry my own cones with me, but when I do they're always with 2 reflector stripes
