I went to North Carolina last weekend and enjoyed the smoky mountains.


The tower is from clingman's dome in the great smoky mountain national park. The little cabin is in the blue ridge motorcycle campground. Base camp for my daily excursions. Most of the higher elevations had a lot of fog.

Ah yes, that would be on the 243 looking across Banning CA at the fires in San Bernardino National Forest....

Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge Road parking lot.  Elevation 5000 feet.  Comes up from sea level in 17 glorious serpentine miles.  A helleva run in both directions.  A perfect spot to redefine "passing zone".   :001: 





and no, that luggage bag resting on baby isn't how it looks while riding, that's walking away after changing my clothes/foot wear and storing my non folding jacket/boots/etc while going for a day hike...
