Quad Lock mount vibration dampener
on: October 21, 2020, 06:51:50 PM
Just got an email from Quad Lock about their vibration dampener. Folks with more recent iPhones (11 I believe) reported issues with vibration basically killing the cameras in that phone. They seem to have worked on a solution:

I also saw this, but I haven't seen a lot of real-world reviews yet. Waiting on more people to try it and ensure it actually works before I sacrifice my phone.

So they want to charge you extra for something that fixes their engineering blunder.

I'm no Apple fanboy (I have an android device and refuse to own any Apple product) but they didn't design a product intended to go on a motorcycle.

Neither did Motorola, but my cheap phone's camera still works after riding on the handlebars. It was never an issue until optical image stabilization came into play with the fancier phones. I still wouldn't call that Quad Lock's mistake though.
