Now that is one of my pet peaves. I posted a whole thread on it......its not really a 17mm now is it? When you use 2 17's to do the job of getting the mirror tight you can see how it starts to mall the nut cause it fits loose. I made a 16 and 1/2 mm wrench cause it burns me up that they did that. :230:

So why not use a metric adjustable spanner?  :745:

Nearest fraction to your spanner is 21/32 for 16.668mm probably a Whitworth exact one if I was to bet on it.

As in the other thread on this they dont sell Metric crescent wrenches here in the states,  :019: bummer!!! :038:

well i took both my mirrors of to change over to black bars and then put them back on with a 17mm spanner and really tightened them with no bother mate ...
