Hi zg1286, thanks for the link! Wanted to ask you, b/c I'm not too good at reading French, is this an aftermarket seat and seat pan? Essentially, plug and play type deal!

Plug and play. Installs just like stock seat. Comes with all hardware. Open box and install.
Have Google translate page.
It does take awhile to receive as they are made when ordered.
I ordered mine on 5/9/2020 and received it  7/20/2020.
Also check drop down by seat picture. Several trim color options.
Mine was $339 us dollars
Seat is much more comfortable than stock

In case anyone is looking for a Bagster seat, I have one for sale in the classified section. Cheers.

I am still to see an aftermarket seat that I like. I find them all very ugly.

What I did was take the original seat to a guy that installed gel padding underneath. Made it a lot better.

What I would like to see on the Z900rs would be a flat seat like the triumph bonevilles. That would be cool

I agree that I'm not thrilled with the looks of the aftermarket seat options. I'll go by and check out my local interior/trim shop and see what they tell me they can do. I personally like the look of the stock seat better than anything I've seen so far.

I contacted Mean City Cycles about a seat modification, I indicated that I wanted to maintain the look of the stock seat as is reasonable but get more comfort.  Out of their various Options they recommended the memory foam option $130 plus shipping costs.  The seat will maintain its stock shape and look.  They stock several densities of memory foam and select one based on riders weight.  I think I will give this a try next winter, enjoying riding too much now.  http://www.meancitycycles.com/

I have an air hawk that I used on previous bikes but it does not work well on the RS stock seat you need a little more of a butt bucket shape in the seat for the air hawk as you tend to slide into the tank with the stock RS flat seat.

:062:Thanks for posting about this cycle shop. I hadn't seen anything on them. Does look like a good option.
