@quick: Is this the 'Raptor' fly screen from Puig? Did you have any problems mounting it, and did you attach the standoff spacers on the instruments or the screen?

thanks. yeah, the bike rules. as for the license plate, our land transportation office hasn't issued it yet. go figure. bike is registered though.

this is the puig universal naked windscreen.

and yes, mounting was a tad problematic. i couldn't get the mounting points to fit within the headlight bracket. if you zoom the pic, you'll notice that the windshield's mounting points are on the outside of the headlight bracket. no big deal for me. i can live with it.

Thanks for your reply  :037:
That's the one I got as well - looks  :062:
One last question: Are the headlight mounting screws long enough, or did you need longer ones?

the original screws can be forced to fit but only just!  :005:

i didn;t want to risk it so i got slightly longer ones... sorry i can't remember the actual measurement.

my bike sat idle in the basement parking of my office since our lockdown began on 15 March 2020. i just got back to work today (1 June 2020).

i wiped off the cat pee as best i could, inserted the key... lights on the dash flashed; the needles did their little sweeping dance; the FI whirred.

it took a couple of turns, and i feared the battery couldn't crank it. then the beast roared to life on the first crank!! rode it around the basement for a while to shake the cobwebs off. i then found a socket and plugged in the tender.

that is all. i am happy to have been able to ride my bike. even for a few minutes in the basement. carry on.
