rear red side reflectors
on: March 26, 2020, 04:56:31 PM
Friends, my name is Flavio Amaral, from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have a brand new Z900RS, received back on January 31st, 2020. The version which comes to Brazil does not have the red rear Stanley side reflectors, nor the yellow ones, placed on the front fork for the US versions.
I have ordered the rear red ones (part # 28012-0002), together with its nuts (part # 92210-0007) and the brackets (part # 11057-1413).
Parts arrived this morning and looking at the brackets, I cannot even imagine how to place them before before installing the reflectors and the nuts. I have acquired the original parts, after looking at the images shown in the parts list and everything is correct. Although it is not a "big issue", I would like to install the reflectors exactly as they come in the European version.
This being said, may I ask to the Friends of this group if someone could take a picture showing how the reflectors are placed and fixed? Many thanks in advance and all the best.

Hi Flavio,

you really got this part 11057 ?

It it placed between the rear fender and the frame.

Remove the seat, locate the four mounting bolts and put it in between.

On my pictures I replaced the reflectors with bobbins for my luggage

Most over here remove the reflectors as I have but I use the mounting bracket for my tailbag cords.  Where’d you get those ‘spools’ ?  They look good.

Dear hell-wart,
First of all, many thanks for your reply and kindness. If you look at the diagram/drawings in the parts list (right side of the drawing), you will note that the reflector mounted screw passes through the bracket (part # 11057). Looking at your images, I do not see anything similar to the part #11057-1413 that I've got. I took a picture of such part, but something is wrong with the Photos Gallery account creation and I am not being able to upload images. I will ask help from the moderator because I need to upload the photos to show both my bike and the bracket. Once again, many thanks. If I have your e-mail address I can send you the images. All the best,  Flavio

Flavio,

If you are thinking of getting the rear luggage rack from Givi, it comes with brackets to fasten the reflectors to. You won't need the 11057 part at all. Just a thought in case you were planning on getting a rack.

This is a picture of the full piece.

I cut it into two pieces to make it easier to install my short fender eliminator.

Thank you Jim K. I really just want to install the reflectors properly. All the very best, Flavio
