Multi button replacement
« on: October 04, 2019, 06:10:30 PM »
Missing multi-button and looking for a replacement without having to buy the whole part, which is $250. I have looked around online with no luck. I am going to contact Kawasaki next.

Someone must have run into it either walking or biking. There are some scratches too.

On Partzilla I only see the complete assembly for $177.14:

Part 46091A on this overview: https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/kawasaki/motorcycle/2018/zr900cjf-z900rs/handlebar

A lot of money for just replacing a tiny button. You may have better luck with a wrecked Kawasaki somewhere, they probably use similar controls and you may be able to get the button for a few pennies.

Good luck!

Is all thatís needed to make it operational is to press on that center nub?  Can you tell how it was attached?  Glued or snapped into place or?

I 3D printed the push in switch for the clutch, still works great. Do you have access to a printer? If I had my switch apart I would draw you up the piece. Do you still need it?

it looks like it snapped in. I just use my pinky if I need to use it but rarely do since I leave it set to KTRC 2.  Not sure about a 3D printer but ill look into that.
