2020 Triumph Rocket 3 unwrapped
on: July 31, 2019, 08:48:57 AM
Sorry for more Triumph talk, but this is at least a non-RS part of the forum.

Triumph just pushed the webpages for these, and they are stunning, especially the roadster. https://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/motorcycles/rocket-3/rocket-3

Weigh a ton, but no way around that with this engine and shaft drive. Pricing not out until autumn but no doubt pricey given the overall quality.

Not sure Id ever want to own a 2,500cc bike, but I definitely want to demo and/or rent one to try it out.

Yeah, they're a wild bit of gear.

A friend had a rocket 3 some years ago. He loved it and calls it the best bike he's had, but his wife didn't like riding on the back, so he sold it.

I had an R3T for three years and although I enjoyed my time on it Id not have another one. Yes, the torque is incredible, but its exceedingly thirsty, difficult to get upright if it falls and youre on your own (yes, from experience!), and is a handful in town. Still...it has a certain je ne sais pas character to it.

Seems like a cross country on the interstate kind of bike to me.  Id rather drive my Caddy. :001:

I think this bike is a great step forward styling-wise from the previous generation. Looks like it may handle better from a quick look over.
Better looking than a Diavel to me. Looks like it would fit in with the Sportster or current soft tail crowd...
