Though I have to mention they seem a few milimiteres shorter. I do have a bit more free space on both sides now. What I dont like about it is that there is a about 3mm gap on the throttle grip where you can see the grey plastic underneath and that doesnt look pretty..... Ill have to do something about that

The Oxford Retro grips are a bit short too

I 3D printed filler rings, the finished ones will be in white ABS

I could send some out when I am happy with them, I haven't completed the throttle side yet

Done!

They are 4 mm thick

With the Retro grip pressed on the throttle so that the end of the grip is even with the end of the tube they fit perfect

It is important that there is enough clearance to not hinder throttle return!

You need to carefully check the clearance and (if necessary) adjust the height of the print!

The print is directional because it has  slight taper to match the bar ends

I tried attaching the STL file as a zip file below, let me know if it works

Glad you like it

I printed them in ABS to make them more durable

I hadn't really used ABS before, so there is a learning curve

While I'm experimenting I printed another set that I am going to try vapor smoothing on

I've installed the Oxford heated grips  but I have a little issue with the throttle. The throttle return is not easy and fast like the origin, it's slower and I don't understand why.
I have observed that when the grips are hot the return is faster but when the bike is cold the return is very slow.
Can you explain that ?  :027:

Thank you

The grip could be rubbing on the starter button assembly. I made sure mine was a few mm's away. Try pulling the grip off a wee bit to see if this helps?

The grip is far away (1mm) from the buttons. I can't see what could prevent the throttle return, so this is dangerous. The effect is almost the same as a throttle tamer, the bike decelerate very slow when I release the throttle grip....

Is it rubbing on the bar end weight? Or maybe the power cable is binding somewhere when you twist the throttle?

No, I have the same problem without the bar end and even when the hated grip cable was free (not connected).
I don't really understand what is happening.
Probably I will remove the grip to analize the problem but the grip is glued at the throttle twist and now I don't know how to remove the grip.. :019:
