First ride after the mods.
« on: June 20, 2019, 04:16:01 PM »
Went out for a ride on the RS this morning and got in around 80 miles. The new bits seemed to do their respective jobs. the new levers felt really nice and the cowling was (and IMHO looked) excellent. the main this though was the RapidBike performance plugin. Very definitely felt and sounded different, it seems to have smoothed out moving off in first gear and seemed to make the bike a lot smoother. For me, the main difference was the sound much more throaty, rather pleased with it to be honest. I'm still debating about the cat removal, not sure I want to cut it off and can't really stretch to new headers with a link pipe, that might be a birthday/Christmas pressie  :018:

Looks really well.  I'd not considered a seat upgrade till I saw yours.  Something to think about now.

I have the booster install and would be keen to know your thoughts about the Rapidbike plugin  after a few more miles.

Garth, if you want to look at the seat get in touch with Alfs Motorcycles in Worthing and they would be able to help. The cost £280 plus your original seat.
I'm out again this weekend so will be able to decide what the RapidBike module is really like.

I honestly think that style fairing really adds a lot to the bike, really completes the front of the RS.

Looks Amazing and that seat really ties it all together.
Well Done !! :028:

Thanks mate. The fairing was the only one I could find that wasn't generic, Powerbronze, Ermax etc. The seat is a great addition and glad I went with it.  :001:

I got it from Webike in Japan. It fits perfectly and comes colour matched. It was about £150 +taxes of about £60.

If I remember it's a type R and it's smoked.

Good price compared to most of the others on sale.
