Is that a street or speed triple? The speed triple had been quite appealing as well. It's slightly bigger in ergonomics than the street triple and i could fit on it quite comfortably.

Street Triple RS. One of the best motorcycles I have ever ridden. It's been to every single track in the South Island and held its head high.



Having said that, I will be tuning into the reveal of the new Speed Triple 1200 in 9 days. I'm hoping it has gone on a diet, gained power and they've increased the fuel tank capacity back to the same size as the Streetie i.e. 17 Litres.

rode it ! little 170 mile loop to barstow for tacos,then back to angeles crest highway . alittle chilly in the mountains so looped back and home. went from 50s degrees by the ski resort to 85 when i pulled in the driveway.

Finally installed the 16 tooth front sprocket.  What a pain to get the 15 off     The difference in 1st and 2nd gear is amazing, and at 4,000 in 6th I am now going 70mph instead of 66.  The bike should have come from the factory with the 16

painted the horn satin black to get rid of the silver ring lol .... another small part of my blacking things out ..

My wife and 2 daughters chipped in to get me the OEM heated grips for my birthday this coming weekend, so I did the recommended prep work. It's a bit of a mission, seat, side covers, tank, airbox and headlight all removed, and dug out the electrical supply connector from under the L/H side cover. Had an issue with the airbox, but I'll post that under another topic.





Glad I didn't have to pay a dealer/mechanic to do the job. But maybe they know some shortcuts.

I have ordered a new crash helmet to match the bike it is carbon fibre to match the parts i have fitted also has gold and silver pinstripes to match the petrol tank on the bike.It is if this helmet was made for this machine.
